Find the right fit

Three boiler types. Different household needs.

Your survey should consider the whole system, available space and hot-water use. Boiler output alone does not decide the best fit.

01

Combi boilers

A compact arrangement

Heating and hot water from one appliance, with hot water produced on demand. There is usually no separate hot-water cylinder.

Worth discussing
Hot-water demand and incoming water supply
May suit
Space-conscious homes, subject to a survey
Discuss your options
02

System boilers

A separate hot-water store

A boiler working with a separate hot-water cylinder. Stored hot water may suit households with several outlets in use.

Worth discussing
Cylinder space and household usage
May suit
Homes where stored hot water suits demand
Discuss your options
03

Regular boilers

An established system layout

Often found in existing systems with a hot-water cylinder and separate feed tanks. Sometimes called heat-only or conventional boilers.

Worth discussing
Existing tanks, cylinder and pipework
May suit
Properties where retaining the arrangement makes sense

Understanding the quote

What goes into the cost of a new boiler?

The appliance is one part of the installation. A clear quotation explains the work needed in your property.

Tell us your postcode, existing boiler details and what you would like to improve. A survey allows the final specification, price and availability to be discussed before work is agreed.

The boiler and controls

The exact model, output and control package should be specified. Ask what each option changes for your home.

The existing system

Cylinder arrangements, pipework and the condition of the heating system can affect the work required.

Position and access

Moving the boiler, altering a flue or condensate route and working in a restricted space can change the scope.

The complete finish

Agree cleaning, disposal, commissioning, handover and any work or decoration by other trades.

Choosing a make and model

Five clear packages. One careful suitability check.

Corva now shows the same current boiler selection and installed starting prices as MyNextBoiler. The exact model, output, installation scope and manufacturer-cover conditions are confirmed for your home before booking.

Compare all boiler options

Prices include VAT and the defined standard installation for qualifying homes. Manufacturer cover depends on registration, qualifying accessories, annual servicing and the applicable manufacturer terms. Nonstandard work receives a tailored quotation.

A well-organised installation

From the first conversation to the first warm evening.

01

Tell us about your home

Share the property postcode, existing system, number of bathrooms and what you want to improve. Mention any planned building work or access needs.

02

Survey and written quote

The installation requirements are assessed. Your proposal should identify the boiler, controls, work, exclusions and applicable guarantee conditions.

03

Agree the work and date

Discuss access, expected disruption and the period without heating or hot water. The office confirms the appointment and the agreed arrangements.

04

Installation and handover

Ask for the controls to be demonstrated and the relevant commissioning and registration arrangements explained. Keep the documents for future servicing.

Beyond installation day

Confidence starts with a proper handover.

Knowing how to use your heating is part of settling in with a new boiler. Ask the engineer to show you the everyday settings, explain the documents and confirm who to contact with questions.

Keep the guarantee information and service records together. Corva offers one-off servicing and care-plan options to discuss with the team, so you can explore the level of ongoing support that suits you.

Your boiler questions, answered.

Useful details before you decide. If your question is more specific, our team is happy to help.

Which boiler is best for my home?

The right recommendation depends on the existing system, available space, hot-water demand and installation requirements. Tell the surveyor about how the household uses the home and any planned changes.

Can I get a fixed price online?

Yes. The online quote form shows package prices for eligible standard replacements, including VAT. Other installations need a manual review, with the reasons explained. The final specification and any additional work must be confirmed before installation. No payment is taken when you request a quote.

How long does a new boiler installation take?

The time depends on the agreed work. A location change, system conversion or additional pipework can alter the programme. Ask for the expected duration and disruption as part of the written proposal.

Can I keep my current radiators?

They may be retained if suitable, but the engineer should assess the existing system and explain any recommended cleaning, changes or replacements. Confirm the scope before proceeding.

Is servicing included with a new boiler?

Check the written offer. Installation, a manufacturer’s guarantee and annual servicing are different items. A service plan should only be treated as included if the agreed quotation and terms say so.

Do you cover North Wales and the North West?

Corva is based in Kinmel Bay and serves North Wales, with North West appointments including Chester and Liverpool agreed by postcode, job type and availability. Ask the office to confirm your address.

Do you install LPG, oil or commercial gas boilers?

Our confirmed gas offering on this website is domestic natural gas. LPG, oil and commercial gas work are outside this booking offer. Provide the fuel and appliance details before any scope is agreed.

Do I need a new boiler if mine has broken down?

Not automatically. A fault assessment can establish the cause and the available repair options. Ask for a clear explanation of the proposed work before deciding to repair or replace.
