A sensible conversation before a commitment

Send the property locations, specification and expected work volumes. We will review the scope and the delivery requirements, including procurement, purchase orders, invoicing and site access, before confirming suitability.

For planned works, we can discuss the programme and working around occupied properties. Emergency cover, response targets and reporting requirements must be explicitly agreed. This page welcomes enquiries and does not imply that Corva holds a council framework place.

Start with your needs

Define the package before the programme

01

Reactive plumbing packages

Describe the property types, work categories and geographical spread. Call volumes, priorities and response targets affect what can responsibly be offered, so they need review before a commitment.

02

Planned property improvements

Washroom plumbing, domestic heating changes and suitable refurbishment works should start with a specification. Clarify access, occupied areas, shutdown windows and responsibilities for other trades.

03

Procurement and supplier information

Send the tender reference, documents and deadline. We can assess the requested evidence and competence against the actual proposed scope, including any specialist fuel or plant requirements.

A clear scope

Know what you’re arranging.

We review each council specification against the locations, work categories, programme and supplier requirements. A clear scope allows the right resources, commercial terms and reporting arrangements to be agreed.

Your agreed visit or quotation

What we can include

  • Review of the specification
  • Relevant supplier and competence information
  • Agreed instruction and approval route
  • Delivery evidence appropriate to the work
Discussed before proceeding

What may need a separate price

  • Unspecified commercial gas or oil works
  • Unagreed workforce or standby commitments
  • Extra locations and work volumes
  • Additional work outside an approved instruction

Care in the details

A clear brief. A well-planned job.

Your organisation, tender or enquiry reference, lot or work category, service locations and the deadline. Include any requirements for specialist fuel qualifications or commercial systems.

The appointment or quotation should identify the agreed work, access arrangements and any limitations. If the engineer finds something outside that scope, we explain the options and costs before additional work goes ahead.

From your first enquiry

What happens next.

A practical guide to the process, with details agreed for your property.

01

Send the enquiry

Include the organisation, reference, specification and due date.

02

Clarify the scope

Identify the actual work categories, locations and competence needed.

03

Review commercial arrangements

Agree instructions, variations, reporting and payment requirements.

04

Confirm the delivery plan

Set out access and programme arrangements before work begins.

A smoother appointment

A little preparation goes a long way.

Include the full specification

The lot title alone may not describe every requirement. Make the schedules, property information and mandatory evidence requirements available for review.

Explain occupied-site constraints

State access times, any public areas, shutdown limits and who can authorise changes on site.

Agree how variations work

Set a clear approval route for defects or work discovered outside the original instruction, including evidence and purchase-order requirements.

Keep the right gas safety records

Landlords should keep the gas safety record for at least two years, give existing tenants a copy within 28 days and give new tenants a copy before they move in. Arranging a boiler service alone does not replace the required safety check.

Read the HSE landlord gas safety guidance for the full responsibilities, timing and access requirements.

Councils & public sector FAQs

Useful details before you decide. If your question is more specific, our team is happy to help.

Can you respond to a specification?

Yes. Send the scope, deadlines and required supplier information so we can assess a suitable response.

Are all mechanical services included?

No. We confirm individual work categories and competence. Commercial gas, oil and specialist plant services are not included in our core offering.

Can you supply evidence for supplier checks?

We can provide relevant business, insurance, Gas Safe and SafeContractor information for review.

Can you price from a schedule of works?

A schedule can be reviewed, but assumptions, quantities, property conditions and contract terms need to be clear. A survey or clarification may be needed before pricing is final.

Do you offer all mechanical disciplines?

No. This enquiry route focuses on suitable plumbing and domestic natural-gas heating work. Each proposed category must be matched to the required competence.

Can you attend a site meeting before quoting?

We can discuss a suitable survey or meeting once the location, purpose and scope are known. Please include the deadline in the enquiry.

How do we begin supplier onboarding?

Send your organisation’s supplier checklist, the procurement reference and the proposed work. We can review the required evidence and appointment process with your team before any instruction is accepted.

Plan with confidence

From an initial enquiry to a defined package

Separate the work into practical lots

An enquiry may concern domestic housing, a public-building washroom or a planned refurbishment. Identify the sites, work categories, scale and target dates. Commercial gas, specialist plant and services outside the confirmed offer need separate scope and competence review.

Make requirements available early

Provide specifications, procurement instructions, insurance requirements, site rules and the reporting format before seeking an attendance commitment. Any required tender submission or supplier onboarding follows the council’s stated process.

Agree the delivery arrangement

Capacity, geographical coverage, resident or public access, variations and completion records need project-specific agreement. No framework status, public-sector award or guaranteed response time is claimed by this page.
